The game is so dead right now. Soviets had the IS2 meta which was a nessesity to stop axis armor. Now there is nothing left. Only shocks.
The new soviet meta is shocks and ... nothing. Just shocks. SU has nothing. Absolutely nothing to put up against axis armor.

I presume you're queuing as SU 4v4? I'm seeing a lot of OST heavy teams in 4v4 randoms now.
Generally this means grens and MG's through to P4's. Pick any commander that gives guards, build special rifle command and go straight for a couple of snipers. Protect your snipers with some mines to start with (222 rush guaranteed) until you get the guards out, then stomp around with a blob of con/guard/sniper/sniper.
Snipers wreck any MG based play, and forces grens off the field. Guards counter any light vehicles. Depending on if they go inf heavy or vehicle heavy spam su-76's or snipers and wreck their plans.
Pretty much ruins any fun an ost player was hoping to get out of the match.

I have been enjoying Lend Lease as a good alt to Guard Motor in 2v2.
The DHSK got suppression and Pen.(I think) buffed in the patch, the M5 is a good reinforce point,the Guards from it got slight ninja-buffed PPSH, the air drop of fuel has worked on every map I have played except Ettelbruck where 2/3 got shot down, and the MC Sherman has stats close to a T34/85(about same AT and better AI with 50cal on top), just less HP(dies in 3-4 hits rather than 4-5).
Usually build 3 cons and a 2nd Engie, build T2 get mortar and 2 DHSKs once it unlocks, a Zis to hold off early armor and for barrages, build T4 get SU-76 and M5 call-in(pull Guards out and buy AA upgrade), then hold out for MC Sherman spam. I split fuel drops between myself and my ally(really helpful to USF ally who can only build medium tanks and needs a lot of them).

I think Relic did do something with eastern front unit chatter, at least with wehrmacht. I heared mg42 or pak's chatter ONCE and wasn't able to recreate it, but at least it's something.
I myself bought 14 OKW factions during a Steam sale last year for alt accounts

Its not that bad actually. Its playable.

I play mostly 1v1 becouse its less stressfull than coop dependant 2v2 or 3v3 or complete mess chaotic 4v4
