dow 2 elite mod has 7 IIRC and it's pretty damn good balance

1 and 2 is pretty much the same. Deutsches Afrika Korps should represent Italian infantry backed by German tanks, guns and fighters vs UK commonwealth.

I still really don't think people actually know how afrika corps would be implemented in game. How is a faction restricted to 1942 tech supposed to compete with the other factions, while still being functionaly different from whermacht?

Relic could always make some sort of pe clone to represent nature of Rommel hight-mobile pushing blitzkrieg to its limit forces with sucky Italian divisions and fearsome flaks 88 to fill their gap in defensive capabilities.

You know that the Tiger I saw combat in Africa?
Relic seems to have no problem with using the T34/76 as a stock unit, why shouldn't they use Panzer III & Crusader Tanks too?

The new factions could have special matchmaking where they only see other new factions and only see them on certain maps..im sure enough people would buy said factions as well for that to work properly.

Man, just envisioning the desert rats/long range desert groups. you thought the clown car was dead and gone.

and for everyone worried about anachronism, i lost a kt to ptrsd's the other day.

and to think, calling the OKW fuel starved now, what about the DAK... man, these could be realllly cool, or realllllly bad...

with respect, i don't really trust relic to pull something like that off, let's work with what we've got for the time being :S

I know you wehraboos have a ceaseless chub on for the glorious Krupp Steel, but the axis forces in WWII were formed from many, many countries.

Japan and Italy are obviously the major powers, but plenty of affiliates and clients existed.

Can we pick at least one of them to represent in game yet? If we blow our chance with Italy we may never get another shot again.

I have no problem with pz3 and the like, but we already have a faction with tigers.
