Yeah I get the building for the T70 sometimes. Although usually it doesn't seem to be worth it.

Its still viable. If your going ISU you will want a couple 34/75s used defensively to help keep you in the game and later provide flank protection. Flak HT can also be good if your heavy inf and ZiS.

You can also use it to keep early pressure on grabbing a "quick" T70 first.

And also worth considering if you have resources but lack CPs.

I get it simply for the T-70. The goal is to try to get the T-70 to vet 3 for the sight bonus. Using the Recon ability at Vet 3 you can see a large chunk of the map.

I find T3 + T34 a waste of fuel. That tank doesn't give you support against infantry nor tanks.
Call ins are more cost efficient atm. All t3 & t4 needs to be reworked.

I use 34/76 whenever i'm playing with Soviet Windustry, otherwise I might make the building for the T70

T70 is amazing vs both OKW and Wehrmacht but sometimes vs OKW T3 (Puma, AAHT, or Stuka) I'll get a T34 cause if you get it early enough before they have a big schreckblob, it can withstand quite a bit of punishment and is fast enough to outflank Raktenwerfers.

So T70 is overall the better choice but in some situations you should also/instead get a T34. I don't recommend getting more than that, as you will need to save for call-ins.

Specially good when you are ahead or equal and you want to "finish" the game.

T3 really lacks anything of dealing with OKW blobs.

I had this drunken 4vs4 game on steppes the other night and even though I chose counterattack as commander I built t3 after losing the first kv1. They had elefant and king tiger next to the center vp and I must say t34s were much better choice than kv1 against them. The flanking was much easier and with steady fuel income I even went for a couple of rams with great success. Nevertheless I think we lost that one, but I don´t think more kv1s would have done any better. So basically I would only go t34/76 if there is lots of room to maneuver. In your usual urban map they only tend to get stuck in streets clipping with the very tank they are trying to flank and thanks to pathfinding the rest is history.

If I go for ISU-152 I usually build T3 to produce T34/76. They serve as guard for my upcoming ISU-152 and as medium armour piece to counter Luchs.

In case of other doctrine choices I build T3 if I float fuel.

Yes, whenever I have a good early/mid game with Soviets which is the case most of the time (depends on the commander).

T34/76 and T3 in general is good vs OKW- playing against the luchs without a mobile counter on larger maps is a quick way to lose the game. Usually followed up by floating for IS2/ISU- the other player on the team tends to go T4 -> katyusha -> call-ins as well. T3 is less useful the narrower the map is, though, I think- so vaux, moscow/winter, rzhev, lieurenex being better, rails, minsk, kharkov being worse. Teching is also good if you're ahead, or CPs are rolling in slowly.

I think crushing infantry by running them over is very important to release the full potential of the T34/76. The main gun and the coaxial MG takes quite long to wipe a single squad, but with crushing the T34 can reliably wip squads in a short time. This way, it is quite strong against Obersoldaten or Volks with too many Schrecks.

It should be noted though, that if you run over a model that's shooting a Panzerfaust, you get the damaged engine crit immediately. So crushing grens or fallschirmjägers is only a good idea if you can afford to crawl until the engine gets fixed.

Vetted T70 is a great spotter for ISU-152
