If you get any messages like this from a friend, don't open it. I've gotten the exact same thing from 3 people, not sure if their account is compromised or not.

Can confirm. I've gotten eerily similar messages from a couple of people on my Steam friend's list.

Didn't open it because the link it pretty obviously malicious, but still good to get the warning out in case people are tempted to click it.

Not just that but people with no friends, no profile stuff and only 1 alias have been adding me for a while now (average about once a month) I just deny request.

Haven't gotten it yet but good to know what I should look for.

Though I tend to not accept any random invites unless I played with them before or they seem to be very active in games and got friends.

Its not just from random people you need to look for, mmp is a long time Reborn friend. I got it from Kodachrome too.

Hmm, that ain't good. Looks like something big is going on if you've gotten the message 3 times from friends. Thanks for the warning mate. Much appreciated. :)

When you get that virus, it automatically trades all your inventory items to a bot and sends that message to all your friends, as long as you don't run the file you're fine

Hint if you get what looks to be a picture from a friend and in reality it is an .exe file. Do not open it.

I got it some time ago from empireiscorrupt (aka relic lover 0 bytes). I don't know if it's the same one or this one is new.
