I think there is also a tiny constant flow to compensate if you for example need just a few xp for the next cp.

Agree. But not sure that's time or resources. In high resource game you begin with 2 CPs.
Is there any precise data?

It's simply damage. That's why PaKs and Volksgrens with Shrecks gain Vet so fast because they do a hell of damage.

I think it is ( % of attacked unit health damaged * attacked unit cost(mp+10*fuel))/attacking unit cost(mp+10* fuel), hence why AT guns(pre a recent patch which changed the MP cost proportion between AT gun and gun crew) and schreked Volks vet up so much faster b/c they are cheap and unit they damage are much more expensive.

Cool, that feels consistent with the game stats.
Where did you get this formula?

Command points are earned by XPs you get on the field. When you build a structure or kill an enemy unit or lose an unit, you get XPs. It is not releated to damage taken or damage given.

dealing damage does give you CPs, as well as unit exp.

Not completely sure. If you farm warspoil you can see that Cp actually goes up without any combat taking place.

I think you earn CPs based on your income as well, so Units XP + Buildings + Off map damage done (not sure about that one)+ Resources income.

There is flat point addition to the Command points in every seconds. That's why you get CP while farming. But it is small enough to ignore it when we mention about getting CPs.
