Hey, I was checking this tournament out (mostly because weekends are always kinda busy for me). One thing caught my eye was that tournament should start on 10th March 00:00CET. What's up with that time? Is it that first games should be played before that or how does this work?

what it means is that Round 1 games must be played within the time period of Monday 10th March 00:00 CET and Sunday 16th March 23:59

So basically you have the whole week to arrange and play your match for that round.

Great, yes, after reading rules more carefully I understood that as well. :)

Good luck with this format. It should appease the people that complain about tourneys always being at the same time (evening GMT), but what I've learned from experience (trying to run a COH league on Clanbase and playing in another league), giving players the leeway to plan their own matches results in no planning and no matches. :/

Teams can come back? How does that work?

Also IpKai can you confirm that the first round is going to take two weeks since there is only 32 teams?

Yes, you will have up to two weeks to play round 1.

The format is double elimination where you effectively have two lives in the tournament compared to one life in single elimination.

If you missed out on signing up for the flex cup you can still play in the ladder to scratch that competitive 2on2 itch.

The rules of vetoing are a bit unclear. Are we supposed to veto a new map in each game of the match?

3.2. Map and faction choice

Map Veto will be used to determine the map to be used in each round. Teams will take turns in vetoing maps until one is left. That map will be used for the whole match.

So the round refers to bracket round, ie. new opponent. The whole match will be played on the same map and the teams just switch sides between games?

I've seen people playing multiple maps in the match, but that's not how it's supposed to go right?

yeah, you should be playing the whole match. Round = match, I will update the rules page.

Is there something that should happen if opponents do not play their game in time? Just wondering since there are a lot of teams that are still waiting for this weeks opponent.

I'm waiting to hear back from them since there has been no correspondence between the two teams. If I don't hear anything you guys will be moved on.
