I didn`t understand why Paradox didn`t build FHT as his first T2 unit since CptSPrice didn`t have any AT capabilty (which is one of the main drawbacks of going Penals, especially when choosing shock doctrine as well) up until like 13.30. Nevertheless, GG.

The use of Penals was indeed outstanding, but... The reason the Soviet player won was an avalanche of poor decisions and failed retreats from the Ostheer player.
Rather, it was shown how an LMG'd Gren will use Penals as Xp piñatas - it was downright scary IMHO.

Only because he attacked over open ground. In those cases there was very little usage of cover at all. Which tends to be the exact kind of situation where the LMG excels.
Even then the Penal troops managed a lot of damage. Even when German player did retreat properly.
