Maxim spam is easily counterable, there is no real counter to snipers. So no.

OK Noobs, and yet I beat a top 20 1v1 OKW guy with a maxim spam. Clearly I suck ass, so imagine what someone who was good could do with Maxims.
If you watch this game versus mine with maxims, I totally owned my opponent from the word go. This game was an hour long. I stopped my opponent in under 20 minutes, and he never had more than 4 points on the map. The point is, maxims pwn. And, even somebody with my limited skill can beat top guys.

Who cares if you managed to beat a top 20 OKW player with maxim spam. Maybe it was a fluke game. Maybe he had an off match. Maybe you got lucky and the map was in your favor. Learn 2 Science dude. Replication is key. Do it consistently and maybe people will listen. I don't see it happening though.

Juslin played so much better yet he lost. I think if anything this game perfectly illustrates the current problems in the game including cheap call ins and easy spam.
On the other hand, I think Juslin could have had a stronger early game if he went Panzer headquarter. By setting it up to defend his fuel/cutoff it would have freed all his units to go about harassing territory and snipers. Plus he could have got the p2 which I think is very good in this case and less micro intensive than ht/puma combo.
At later stage he could get the panther which is way better than the Jagdpanzer and can actually kill some infantry (with mg upgrade). Possibly even sticking with only one panther he could have saved for a kt that would help him lock down a single vp against such soviet play.

The thing is....this proves playing better does not win you the game. Barton clearly showed Guards and Snipers are tough to beat. I don't know whether or not maxims is a better strat or not because I'd have to see Jesulin lose to maxim spam.
Jes could have won this match though. Had he had more time. As the game was ending he was just about to cap. Barton threw away the first ISU being overconfident...Imagine had he had 2 ISU on the field at once. That would have been nice.
