I understand this but if you have say a rail bridge or a tight area, some light vehicles in the game have a bigger footprint than a Tank, for example the Axis scout car has a bigger footprint than a Stug... I had asked if this could verified but no answer... I am sure there is a problem with the impass footprint on some vehicles in the game.

It's very likely that there are some vehicles that don't work. What I'd recommend instead (and what I used to use before the Ruler Tool) is to place the vehicle in question on your map and press ctrl+shift+f5 to check the impass manually.

Generally speaking, if a vehicle doesn't have a square of free space on either side of it, it will struggle to get through; consider the turning circle and the fact that most vehicles will encounter some form of obstacle on any route that will cause them to get stuck.

A little tip would be to ensure that any narrow areas are instead created by light, crushable objects. They provide good cover to infantry and only block in the early stages of the game, until the tanks roll out. I would never suggest creating a situation where tanks are constantly struggling to manouever.
